The Project Manager Lead is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects, and in many cases, ongoing operations, which are directed toward a common objective. Works with constituent Project Managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program. The successful candidate will work directly with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables within the applicable scope and budget. Determines and coordinates the sharing of resources among constituent projects to other overall benefit of the program. Partners with stakeholder management to ensure project success.
Manage Information Technology (IT) and related virtual and physical infrastructure projects and programs in support of organizational area's strategic objectives.
Collaborate with organizational leadership to ensure projects and programs are executed in accordance with area's priorities and mission.
Provide consultation to key stakeholders.
Collaborate with end-users to complete the project charter.
Coordinate with functional managers for resource planning.
Develops, implements, and updates project management and software development procedures and processes based on industry-standard best practices for project management and operations to ensure smooth, within budget, and on time delivery of Information Technology (IT) and related virtual and physical infrastructure projects and services.
Oversees development and maintenance of project documentation.
Oversees management of resources and project progress; generates reports, requirement specifications, contracts, schedules, communication, records, meeting agendas, minutes and status reports.
Create and maintains appropriate level of rapport with stakeholders.
Oversees good Information Technology (IT) and related virtual and physical infrastructure projects, services and project management practices for reach of the project teams.
Monitors use of good software development practices.
Maintains overall program or project repositories for lessons learned, templates, and project archives.
Develops high-level reports.
Develops SOWs, project charters, and project plans.
Provides leadership regarding program or project status updates.
Manages document repositories.
Manages overall project outcomes and stakeholders expectations.
Manages the projects, programs and internal review of new business contracts.
Provides work direction and/or supervises staff such as team members, subordinates, contractors, vendors, students, etc.
Recommends staff hires/terminations.
Coaches and mentors staff.
Manages projects ensuring timelines and deliverables are met and meet expectations.
Other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
6 years managing Information Technology (IT) and related virtual and physical infrastructure projects or other relevant experience required.

Integrate required activities for process changes, training, communication, governance, stakeholder engagement, organizational redesign and IT development.
Plan and facilitate steering committee meetings, project status meetings and stakeholder meetings.
Define and manage roles and responsibilities, issue tracking, risk tracking, capacity planning, resource management, project task tracking and burn down rates.
Direct and coordinate the efforts of multiple project managers from the business, vendor and IT teams.
Drive decision-making and tradeoffs for each project and balance overall schedule against Executive Sponsor criteria.
Manage the change control process for scope, schedule or resource changes.
Manage the overall project budget within the standard financial guidelines.
5 years’ experience with delivery projects on time within budget and scope preferred.
5 years’ experience in management, budgeting and analysis preferred.
5 years’ experience in project management
Experience with process improvement and inventory control
