The incumbent in this position is responsible for the review and coordination of all contracts as they flow between the Purchasing, Legal, Accounting, Risk Management, Information Technology and End-User Departments in order to ensure compliance with the policies that govern the Purchasing Department and the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual will primarily be responsible for managing construction-related procurements and contracts. They will work with departments and various individuals to assemble construction solicitation documents, assist in the review and analysis of contractor proposals, aid in contractor negotiations, facilitate the administration of construction contracts and change orders; and provide support to project managers and individuals overseeing construction projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance or related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of related experience working as a Contract Manager or working in a similar capacity is required. Procurement and contract experience in commercial and residential construction is highly preferred. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Proficient computer skills including expertise in the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; and prior experience utilizing contract tracking systems is preferred. Lawson experience highly preferred. Must demonstrate excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Must have the ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
