The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh is seeking qualified candidates for a 10-month, Head Men's Soccer Coach position. The Head Men’s Soccer Coach will be expected to lead all aspects of a highly competitive NCAA Division III Men's Soccer program. The candidate will be responsible for recruiting, scouting, game preparations, budget development and management, team travel, fundraising, practices, game supervision, academic mentoring, and community service. This position reports to the Director of Athletics.
Responsibilities Include: Developing and maintaining a recruiting program, designing and coordinating all practices, game planning and execution, overseeing an academic mentoring program, managing the team’s community service. Evening and weekend work will be expected.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; Collegiate coaching experience at the head or assistant level; Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; Demonstrated leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; valid driver license; CPR/AED certification will be required within one month of appointment; Availability to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree; Experience with general game administration duties.
