With the launch of The Center for Health Analytics Research and Transformation (CHART), a Center that will focus on expanding NJHA’s existing data capabilities to provide the healthcare community with data analytics and predictive modeling to facilitate improved quality and value in healthcare, we are seeking a Junior Analyst to assist us in meeting our objectives.
Under direction, responsibilities of the position include: working with multiple systems to extract, integrate and use large volumes of data for deeper analysis; completing ad hoc and defined analyses and reports in support of the Center’s activities; developing requirements for programmers to use in creation of data set; conducting undirected research and framing open-ended questions; working with a cross-section of staff to gather/understand requirements for new project requests, generating documentation for all projects. As directed will build algorithms to meet business requirements and use statistical, mathematical and predictive modeling skills to build a platform for data analysis and reporting as well as design and develop analytic methodologies for multiple projects on a variety of healthcare issues. Will analyze data to discard erroneous or problematic information as well as explore and examine data to determine hidden weaknesses, trends or opportunities in the data providing analytical commentaries to explain or highlight significant findings.
Position requires Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, data science, mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field. Prior experience in data analysis, modelling and reporting a plus. Excellent computer skills required. Experience with reporting applications and tools including Excel, Access, Word, SQL/database querying and business intelligence such as Tableau and Alteryx.
