This position performs repetitive preparation and assembly of printed circuit board components and assemblies. Working from hard copy and electronic assembly documentation and instructions, the position prepares components using manual and automatic fixtures, performs simplistic manual assembly in a progressive work station sequence, and completes basic light work tasks at other points in the manufacturing process. The position takes direction from manufacturing team leads in assigned work stations. Working with continuous leadership in a production environment, the position is held to the highest standards in, and compliance with, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, procedures, policies, and metrics.
Read, follow, and execute tasks per sequence defined by electronic or hardcopy drawings and work instructions.
Follow standardized methods of work to accomplish an established set of assembly tasks.
Assemble components and sub-assemblies in an assembly line fashion per specific defined process and in defined time frame.
Use tools including: Component Lead Cutters and Crimpers, Forming and Insertion Press Fixtures, and Hand Tools.
Work from established product bill of materials and assembly drawings of products.
Achieve a consistent level of quality that is typically measured and verified in down stream processes.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Identify potential roadblocks to team goals, propose solutions and resources needed, to the team, coach, or management.
Be responsible and accountable for implementation and compliance with team decisions.
Interact with, receive guidance from, and provide constructive feedback to Operations Manufacturing and Quality Engineering.
Work independently and in a team of Manufacturing Associates in a proactive way that promotes timely information and idea exchange.
Engage and actively participate in problem solving, process improvements, and team meetings while utilizing effective communication skills.
Assist, and be responsive to the needs of teams and team members as well as other individuals, in the pursuit of the company's goals.
Develop and implement quality and productivity improvements as necessary to achieve department objectives.
Actively participate in, and promote, continuous improvement of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity processes and metrics. Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with business and government regulations. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published by the Company.
