Full Time; Career Starting Salary Range: $19.92 - $34.72 / Hourly. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Involves structuring, and / or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with contractors, customers and / or partners. Collaborates with internal partners as well as legal staff to structure contracts. Professional contracting services are provided in compliance with all policies and procedures. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
Coordinates with UC and Smarter Balanced staff to ensure contracts are accurate and executed according to plan. Post contract award, uses project management skills to coordinate Smarter Balanced staff and contractors to ensure successful fulfillment of contract scope, including systematic reporting of project status to Smarter Balanced leadership.
UC Smarter Balanced is a large-scale, online assessment program that serves 6M students and 400,000 educators in California and across the nation. Governed by a consortium of member states, UC Smarter Balanced executive committee, governing board, and K-12 educators provide valuable input into the design and delivery of standardized assessment for states, territories, and Bureau of Indian Affairs. The program is organized within the division of continuing education, UCSC Extension, University of California, Santa Cruz. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge and understanding of standard project management practices.
Working knowledge and understanding of specific contracting assignments.
Written, verbal and professional interpersonal communications skills; and ability to deal effectively with broad and diverse constituencies ensuring strong customer service orientation and skills.
Organizational, presentation and negotiation skills.
Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
