Currently, RG is looking to hire a Junior Contracts Manager to support our internal Contracts Department. RG’s Contract Managers are trusted advisors to the company’s business units and play an integral role in each pursuit by assisting in building partnerships, preparing pricing and solicitation-specific documentation. Upon contract award, the Contract Manager manages the contract and any subcontracts through contract close-out. This cradle-to-grave approach to contract management, from initial pursuit to contracts close out, ensures the RG contract team understands the RG business units’ requirements and plays a vital role in assisting RG’s business unit’s achieve their strategic goals.
A Day In the Life:
To help make our customer successful, the chosen candidate can expect to be involved with the management and administration of contracts, subcontracts, supplier/vendor agreements and proposal development. Working closely with the department’s other Contracts Managers, the Junior Contracts Manager’s responsibilities include drafting and amending current contracts; organizing and tracking contract-related documents, requirements, and deliverables; responding to correspondence from external and internal stakeholders; managing spreadsheets; and establishing and modifying Costpoint records. In this position the individual must demonstrate an ability to proactively manage a diverse customer base, effectively communicate status of contracting actions and maintain positive working relationships with both the internal customer and external client staff. Representative duties and responsibilities include:
Assist in the management of RG contract and business support activities for various business unit(s)
Interpretation of regulations and requirements, applying sound business judgment
Identify process improvement opportunities
Draft, modify and establish contracts and subcontracts
Establish and modify Deltek Costpoint records for contract awards and modifications
Organize and track contract-related documents, requirements, and deliverables
Spreadsheet development and management, including contract reconciliation spreadsheets and tracking spreadsheets
Evaluate solicitations for compliance requirements and participate in proposal development, draft cost volumes and draft pricing estimates

To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.
BA/BS Business or related degree
1+ years of experience in government contract administration
A self-starter with proven skills in
Oral and written communications, including business writing
Analytical reasoning and problem solving
Excelling in fast paced environments
Working independently and as part of a team
Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (strong skills in Word and Excel)
Current clearance or ability to obtain

Candidates meeting the posted minimum qualifications will be contacted by RG’s Recruiting Department. After an initial assessment, qualified candidates will be referred for a phone interview with RG’s Senior Contract Managers. Successful candidates will be invited to RG headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, to interview with RG’s Executive Vice President for Contracts. As part of this final interview, qualified candidates will be given several scenarios from which they will be asked to provide business writing samples and build a spreadsheet based on specific scenarios.
