Works with regional internal partners responsible for project management, data security, physical security and information technology, legal advice, vendor management and internal audit to establish, communicate and maintain regional compliance with standards and guidelines that demonstrate adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Assists local Privacy teams within Europe and Asia Pacific on all aspects of Privacy risk management
Attends and contributes to regional updates to Data Security related committees (monthly Privacy Team meetings and quarterly Privacy Designate Forums)
Drafts clear and effective Privacy-related documentation across businesses, in particular in relation to the "legitimate interest" ground for processing
Provides specific guidance on individual contracts and arrangements which include the processing of EAP personal data to ensure compliance with local and regional legal requirements, including in particular international data transfer
Reviews higher risk global and regional Privacy Impact Assessments escalated by the relevant designate, including recommendations
Manages local data subject access, erasure and correction requests, as required
Leads the watching brief on all applicable current, draft and proposed legislation and regulation across all aspects of the region
In accordance with the Regulatory Change Management Procedures, completes relevant documentation as required and submits to EAP CPO for review, to ensure all relevant businesses are in compliance at all times
Assists the EAP CPO with advising on the implementation of the European General Data Protection Regulation in Europe and elsewhere on request
Education and Training
Develops personal subject matter expertise on Privacy and other related areas
Manages the regional contribution the global LMS Privacy training applicable to all employees and contractors
Leads the regional contribution to designate training, as applicable.
