Under the direction of the department CAO and Business Manager of the Department of Ophthalmology, the incumbent is responsible for providing support, coordination and leadership for all aspects of research that may involve industry-sponsored Phase I, II, III and IV clinical trials, government-funded clinical research, and investigator-initiated clinical research (collectively referred to as clinical research involving human subjects) as well as basic and applied research activities. Successful candidate will work with research participants, Principal Investigators, department administrators, other UCIMC/UCI offices, and external collaborators to facilitate conduct of research in accordance with applicable federal, state, and University policies.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
