The Contract Administrator III position supports contracting activities under the supervision of the Senior Corporate Counsel, who reports to the General Counsel for Tektronix. The Contract Administrator will be responsible for negotiating, reviewing and preparing standard and nonstandard agreements primarily for the sale and distribution of Tektronix products and services. Previous experience in a corporate contract administration or legal setting, as well as negotiation and preparation of contracts, including those with the U.S. Government, U.S. Government prime contractors and state and federal agencies, is required for this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, and be a self-starter who thrives in a challenging, friendly environment. More specific responsibilities and qualifications are set forth below.
Work with different levels of personnel within the organization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy.
Negotiate, draft, and if necessary seek approval for, a variety of agreements such as agreements with the U.S. Government, prime contractors to the U.S. Government and state and federal agencies, distributor and channel sales agreements, software license agreements, confidentiality agreements, purchase order terms and conditions, consulting agreements, development agreements, and supply agreements.
Review and analyze bids and proposals for compliance with company policies.
Work with product groups and the service organization to evaluate and ensure compliance with terms and conditions of bids, proposals and agreements.
Interface with all involved departments to answer questions and resolve issues in support of contract negotiation and during the contract term.
Draft appropriate contract templates to support implementation of new business practices, products and marketing programs.
Proactively make recommendations to management to improve contract templates, processes and policies.
Identify and address operational and legal issues on complex matters and seek advice from internal business groups such as engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, procurement, quality, compliance, legal and other subject matter experts.
Understand and administer anti-corruption program requirements related to channel sales.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers and build strong relationships.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent substantive knowledge and relevant work experience.
Minimum of 5 years professional-level experience, preferably with a global technology company.
Minimum of 5 years experience with government contracts and a working understanding of government contracting rules including flowdowns, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), UCC and Incoterms.

Proactive in identifying issues in assigned areas of responsibility.
Interest and knowledge of technology industry.
IT literate, with working knowledge of Word and Excel.
