The Associate Manager of Combustion Science Technology is responsible for supporting the Director and Associate Director of the UCI Combustion Laboratory in supervising projects involving research on, and demonstration of, combustion systems and components that operate on fossil and renewable fuels, including natural gas, digester gas, landfill gas, hydrogen, methanol, electricity, and biofuels. The Associate Manager shares responsibility for developing new opportunities and projects with both the Director and Associate Director of the UCI Combustion Laboratory. Research activities include the management of research studies, the design and maintenance of test facilities and capabilities, the mentoring of graduate and undergraduate researchers in the safe and timely completion of experimental and analytical research work, and assuring that project deliverables are met. The Associate Manager assists the Director and Associate Director to facilitate and coordinate government and industry partners in the execution of projects.
