JHU has an opening for an experienced Contractor Special Security Officer/Information Special Security Officer with active ties to the Government. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing SCI security program requirements at a Johns Hopkins facility in a Baltimore, MD location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all disciplines within security to include personnel security, physical security (including supervising guard staff), communications security, document control, visitor control, and other duties as assigned.
The applicant must have comprehensive knowledge and experience with:
Understanding and implementing the relevant components within the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and relevant security program directives (ICDs and DoDM 5105.12).
Familiarity with e-QIP (Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing).
Writing, updating, administering and maintaining security policies and procedures.
Conducting pre-screenings and processing personnel security clearance applications.
Assisting with unofficial foreign travel requests (UFT), providing travel briefings and guidance as required.
Programming and issuing access control badges.
Controlling and safeguarding classified material.
The candidate must:
Be detail oriented and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers at every level.
Have the ability and flexibility to multi-task as situations arise.
Have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Have comprehensive Microsoft Office skills to include MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Have 5+ recent-years' experience as a CSSO or A/CSSO.
Hold an active (or recent) TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree required with five years relevant experience.
Additional directly related experience may substitute for education.
Requires a Top Secret Clearance with current investigation and DCID 6/4 eligibility.
The incumbent must complete classes required by the sponsor.
US Citizenship is required.
Experience as a COMSEC Custodian and ISSO are desirable.
