Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Cancer Health Disparities and Community Engagement, the Program Director is responsible for directing the community outreach and engagement activities for the NCI-designated Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC). The Program Director oversees implementation of the Advancing Cancer Care Together project, which is a multi-site clinical and community network to decrease incidence and mortality from breast, cervical, colorectal, liver and stomach cancer for low-income Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese adults in Orange County. The CFCCC serves as the hub for this new network, and the network includes community-based primary/specialty care providers and community-based non-profit organizations. The Program Director is responsible for directing, administering and achieving program goals and objectives, and works collaboratively with the two principal investigators, cancer site experts, language-specific cancer health navigators, clinical researchers, and community advisory board to ensure program success. The incumbent will also take on additional community outreach and engagement activities, including facilitating CFCCC's Community Engagement Board; collaborating with university, government, and industry partners; supporting grant proposal and manuscript writing; and serving as a key communicator for CFCCC.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
