Company currently executing several Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) contracts for the US Navy and DARPA. Additionally, company is pursuing several other contracting opportunities with these agencies. Part-time (contracted), experienced assistance required to assist in the preparation and administration of these opportunities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts; Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications; Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness; Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
Opportunity is located at our Boca Raton, Florida facility. Local candidate desired for easy access to facility when required. However, remote working arrangements can be accommodated for the right candidate.
We are looking for expert assistance to help us submit and administer government contracts. Generally, these are not complex contracts. Assistance is required in the understanding of and compliance with DFARS, accounting requirements, and other. As a consultant, we would expect most of the work would be done upfront, in the proposal stage with general oversight during the execution. And, oh yes, the work is pretty interesting if you are into underwater robots.
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of contracts or relevant experience or Master's degree and 4+ year relevant experience
Experience in Contract Administration, Business Management, or related area
Ability to apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, pricing, audits, and Customer relationships
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong Microsoft Word/Excel/Project skills
Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and US Government contracting regulations
ITAR and EAR licensing experience a plus
