As Assistant Project Manager/Construction Manager with ESG Operations’ Douglas, GA team you will be able to use your skills and knowledge to make a difference in the lives of the people of your community.
We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Construction Manager for our Douglas, GA team. Job duties will include project oversight; approving any plan changes; tracking expenses and accounting for materials; and ensuring projects are built to specifications. This is a field based position that requires excellent communication and computer skills.
Manage day-to-day activities of a team providing contract operations, maintenance, and management of utilities and public works departments including construction projects
Analyze operational process control and maintenance procedures then institute changes when necessary to achieve full compliance with all regulatory agency requirements as defined in service contract
Act as representative of ESG Operations at all water, sewer, public works, construction projects including work with Senior Management, Contractors, Subcontractors and Team Members to ensure projects are completed to contract specifications by scheduled deadline
Create, maintain and report an accounting of project schedules, budget, and status
Create and execute plans to rectify potential cost overruns, project delays, and to accommodate changes to scope of work
Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and approve changes to established projects specs
Inspect facilities, evaluate functions, review records and data, interview and appraise personnel, and initiate and recommend new or improved methods or practices
Bachelor’s degree preferred
10 years of experience in public works and utility system management. Candidate must also possess a proven track record of construction management on buried infrastructure projects.
Possess exemplary leadership, communications, and team-building skills
Proven experience in making sound financial, technical, and human resources decisions
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
Highest level of water/wastewater state certification preferred
Prefer candidates that are willing to live within 30 minutes of the City of Douglas, Georgia
Must have valid GA driver’s license, CDL preferred.
