Under general supervision, performs inspections of sidewalks within City right-of-way. Determines sidewalks which are in need of repair, marks sidewalks with paint, prepares inspection report forms and submits forms to Engineering. Performs follow-up inspections of sidewalks marked for repair. Inspects and monitors the repair of sidewalks performed by City contractor to assure compliance with City specifications. Measures repaired sidewalks and prepares monthly pay estimates. Conducts self in a manner which promotes and supports diversity and inclusivity in the workplace and community. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Requires the ability to perform physically repetitive tasks such as getting in and out of cars/trucks. Must have the ability to exercise judgment and work independently. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record required. Must be 18 years of age per Iowa Code 92.8. Must pass criminal background check.
