The Executive Director, Infrastructure Operations is responsible for the overall direction, management, uptime and technical oversight of Infrastructure Operations, including networking, systems, storage, and data centers for Boston University.
This position provides leadership for the enterprise environment including installation, configuration, documentation, upgrading, governance, process management (ITIL, etc) and technical support related to all areas of systems administration, storage, networking operations, and data center management.
Reporting to the AVP, Shared Infrastructure, the Executive Director, Infrastructure Operations, will assist in creating a data driven, process oriented operations unit that seeks efficiency, reliability, and security for the University's infrastructure needs.
This role will work closely with other IS&T managers and staff to facilitate and support services using IS&T infrastructure for the BU faculty, staff, and students.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, with more than eight years of related experience.
