The Director, Compliance Monitoring and Oversight (M&O) contributes to Conifer Healthï¿½s (Conifer) purpose by providing both strategic and day-to-day leadership to the Monitoring and Oversight program designed to ensure Conifer fully complies with its Standards of Conduct and all applicable laws and regulations. The Compliance Director will lead and support compliance program initiatives and provide leadership for a variety of projects.
The Director oversees the M&O functions of Coniferï¿½s Ethics and Compliance Department.Further, the Director ensures that compliance risks throughout Conifer are considered when M&O Work Plans are developed and revised.The Director works with internal partners, including Operations, Legal, Information Security, and Finance to develop plans to remediate emerging and actual compliance and organizational risks and to facilitate the development and optimization of internal processes and compliance controls.The Director develops monitoring plans to ensure that corrective action plans are appropriately implemented. In addition, the Director optimizes means of measuring Ethics and Compliance Program effectiveness.
TheDirector establishes an engagement approach in line with regulatory and best practice requirements to lead the M&O team and establish a high degree of credibility across Conifer.The Director determines the overall performance of M&O audit procedures including serving as an authority in identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures.The Director motivates and develops team members to execute on commitments and strengthen understanding of industry, organizational, regulatory issues and auditing best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitates and contributes to the development of the Annual Compliance Work Plan and related documents
Formulates comprehensive strategy to reduce organizational risk and proactively address emerging concerns.
Reduces organizational risk by identifying compliance risks and by developing and managing key work plan activities to address identified risks.
Develops and implements key compliance monitoring activities; identifying, reporting, and implementing monitoring controls and making recommendations for training and/or other mechanisms to mitigate risks, or improve the efficiency or effectiveness of business operations and compliance program.
Partners and collaborates with leadership and business partners to communicate and integrate the compliance program throughout the organization.
Provides ongoing compliance-related support to team members and key decision makers
Leads organizational strategy related to the design, implementation, revision or maintenance of process and systems that promote compliance.
Serves as an internal and external expert and advisor on compliance monitoring processes
Collaborates with executive leadership, team members, contractors, clients and government agencies to promote a culture of compliance.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Masterï¿½s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Health Care Administration; Juris Doctorate or related field or equivalent years of related Manager experience required.
Eight to ten years of related experience required, five (5) years of leadership/management experience preferred
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
