The National Sales Representative is a position that is critical to the overall success of the organization. National offers a diverse portfolio of products (wallcovering, acoustical, dry erase, upholstery, digital, wood solutions and specialty) to address a wide variety of interior and exterior applications. Specific responsibilities include daily sales calls on existing customers and prospective new accounts including architects, interior designers, facility managers and contractors.
• Establish new clients within the architectural and interior design communities
• Service existing clients within the architectural and interior design communities • Conduct customer needs analysis; create solutions within customer’s budget • Develop & deliver sales presentations in a professional & effective manner by: Developing presentations for potential customers Maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends & government regulations. • Maintain all sales demonstration tools & applications • Close sales • Conduct customer follow-up activities as necessary to ensure continued customer business • Identify new projects through various sources including, research, networking, cold-calling and developing deeper relationships with current clients • Collaborate with internal and external resources to help keep focus on sales • Become an expert on the products you represent • Maintain a sample request level of no less than 40 per month • Identify and participate in local industry organizations and events • Update new products and remove discontinued items during sales calls
Skills & Qualifications:
1-3 years previous sales experience
Design background preferred – Commercial interior product industry experience preferred.
B.S. degree preferred
Relationship building with internal & external customers
Excellent oral & written communications skills
Excellent customer relation skills
Strong problem solving / analytical skills
Accuracy & attention to detail
PC Literate – Word, Excel, E-Mail, Internet
Skill & ability to organize & prioritize work & to meet deadlines
Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
Ability to travel within sales territory & for occasional sales meetings
Ability to grow sales within the company & meet pre-established sales goals
Valid Driver’s License/ Proof of current insurance
