Qualifications REQUIRED -Several years of demonstrated experience with contracts administration in a complex organization -Knowledge of programs and policies of state, federal, and local governments required to prepare and negotiate contracts (in health care field), maintain liaison with governmental entities and provide advice to others -Advanced experience negotiating complex healthcare and business or related contracts following appropriate policies, procedures, rules and regulations -Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering effective training programs to employees -Demonstrated knowledge of databases and electronic communication. -Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems -Degree in Law desirable

Responsibilities The Contracts Administrator assists faculty and administrative units in writing, negotiating, overseeing and processing of health affairs business contracts with government and private contractors. Responsible for writing and/or editing documents. Negotiates and drafts the documents, and administers or implements the contract during its life. Serves as a resource for UCDH staff and others to provide information and advice on contracting policies and various other business transactions. Responsible for program development and management in health affairs areas. In addition, evaluates and implements changes in federal and state law and University policy related to health care contracting, and provides information and training to UCDH staff in the preparation, negotiation and administration of health affairs contracts through a variety of means.
