Venesco is looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA. We are a fun, team oriented small Government Contractor in Northern Virginia. Effectively manage and administer complex Federal Government contracts
Support contracts and subcontracts departments
Provide contract support for Federal Government customers
Serve as a liaison between Program Managers, Government Contracting Officers, and Teaming Partners
Provide expertise across various types of government contracts such as: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Firm Fixed Price/ Level of Effort (FFP/LOE), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).
Strong negotiation skills with contractors and subcontractors as well as ample knowledge of applicable regulations (i.e. FAR, DFAR).
Improve and ensure the management process of contracts and subcontracts
Be responsible for preparing, examining, analyzing, negotiating, and revising contractual language in contracts and subcontracts
Monitor the lifecycle of Task Orders and delivering monthly reports
Prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing requirements and budgets
Track correspondence, authorizations, payments and deadlines
Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly progress and financial reports
Prepared, examined, negotiated, executed, and revised various types of Agreements (i.e., Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Letters of Intent, Partnership Agreements, Subcontract Agreements, Joint venture Agreements.
Ensure subcontracts are in compliance with legal requirements and government regulations
Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract terms and conditions
Provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional business team members and coordinate with all departments involved
Analyze cost and price data as well as labor and material cost
Monitor contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Assist senior management with special contract related projects when needed
Job Type: Full-time
5-10 years of previous contract specialist experience
Bachelor’s degree and/or certification in Contract Management
Previous experience supporting government contracts
Proficiency in MS Office Suite is a must have
SharePoint and Deltek Costpoint preferred
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must be a U.S Citizen and ability to gain a Public Trust clearance or secret clearance
