TSW, an Atlanta-based multidisciplinary design firm, is hiring a full-time Senior Park System Planner with a MINIMUM of 7 years of experience to work within a fast-paced collaborative environment. This role will involve pursuing and developing park system plans in collaboration with the TSW’s Planning and Landscape Architecture Studios. Our ideas are context driven and curated to meet the needs of each client. We are seeking a candidate with critical thinking skills who is enthusiastic, creative, attentive to detail and skilled in design, construction document production, and graphic production.
Essential Functions:
Conducts Comprehensive Parks and Recreation System Master Plans consistent with NRPA standards including inventories and evaluations of existing facilities, needs analysis, Level of Service Analysis
Designs and creates public engagement strategies and activities to gather the necessary feedback to accompany analysis work and make planning recommendations
Prepares and gives graphic presentations to the public, steering committees, elected officials, boards and commissions, public and private staff, and other client stakeholders
Confers with engineers, planners, developers, contractors, agencies, boards, local governments, as well as the public in acquiring information and coordinating park planning
Prepares master plans, and cost estimates for existing and potential park sites; reviews and evaluates park plans
Writes, lays out, and designs final documents/reports and develops feasibility studies, and project status reports
Performs as a project manager and contract administrator to ensure work is completed according to standards and established procedures
Coordinates multi-disciplinary or multi-departmental communications as needed for the preparation of plans
Oversees, manages, and mentors other staff members assigned to the projects

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, or related field
A minimum of 7 years’ experience with at least five of those directly engaged in conducting comprehensive park system planning, having made major contributions in at least 3 park system plans
Possession of or ability to obtain a License as a Landscape Architect or AICP certification
Proficient with in utilizing software such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Adobe products such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, and AutoCAD
