Boston University is seeking a Project Manager III (PM) within the Information Services & Technology (IS&T) Project Management Office. This individual will be focused on Research Administration, Faculty Systems, and Healthcare Applications projects. This position is part of a diverse project team to help support the strategic goals of the University. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of projects through the full project lifecycle. The PM manages the project team and is accountable for delivering to committed scope, timely, and within budget. The Project Manager reports on the status of projects to the project sponsor/steering committee manage risks and issues and ensure good communication within the team and with client stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
Plan delivery of projects in close collaboration with clients, and with IS&T staff (Architects, Developers, Engineers, System Administrators, and Service Operations)
Manage project teams and delivery of projects including requirements gathering, solution approach, design, resourcing, project plan, execution, the transition to service operations, and project closure
Proactively manage issues and risks, as well as project resources, budget, and schedule
Communicate status of projects and future project plans to stakeholders including faculty, project sponsors, IS&T management, and IS&T governance committees
Note that the responsibilities may occasionally include business analysis work to manage requirements gathering within projects
