The EDW Architect I will create, implement, and maintain Keck Medicine of USCâs Enterprise Data Platform & Information Architecture Framework. The key responsibility of this role is to create architecture, processes, procedures & protocols to support the full life cycle of the data of Keckâs Analytics platform leveraging appropriate technologies. Design the Implementation of Keckâs Data governance processes and protocols to secure and provision data at rest and in motion. Collaborate with Clinical, Research, Administrative system owners, external vendors, community partners, contractors, and other Health Science Campus leadership to understand their data needs and design, develop, implement Keckâs data analytics platform. Minimum Education:â¢Bachelor Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experienceMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢11 -15 years of relevant experience including programming in data modeling, OLAP, Hadoop, Cloudera, Talend, RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop, enterprise data warehouse projects. â¢Minimum 16 years of relevant business support and/or information technology support experience if no Bachelor Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fieldâ¢2+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of Enterprise Information architectures & Data Governance implementationâ¢2+ years in Design of data infrastructure components for the complete data life cycleâ¢1+ year of experience in Enterprise Information Architecture in the health care environment a preferredâ¢Experience with Structured Query Language (MS SQL Server, Oracle) requiredâ¢Good organization skills with ability to prioritize multiple activities in a rapidly changing environmentâ¢Strong customer service focusâ¢Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) â¢Requires a maturing level of analytical ability to find solutions to increasingly difficult technical or to determine economic feasibility or options available, and to nothing related to supervisory or leads assess time involved in system changes. Thorough documentation skills are also requiredâ¢Must be able to demonstrate experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoopâ¢Requires hands-on expertise in programming with database services.â¢Must be able to communicate the impact and solutions of application/system problems in business languageâ¢Requires a professional approach in all situationsâ¢Ability to work any hours to support 24/7 operationsâ¢Must resolve problems entirely by either completing the work or gathering all of the resources needed for ultimate resolution and continuity of problem managementâ¢Availability to travel between Keck Medicine of USC, USC, and other facilities.Required License/Certification:â¢LA City Fire and Safety Certification.
